Each year in January, I contemplate the things that I want to accomplish.  There is certainly a “feeling” that accompanies the transition into a new year.  It’s hopeful and enthusiastic.  Optimism is in the air we breathe.

Season’s Greetings!  The holidays come in with a wave of ads for sales and shopping opportunities.  There’s black Friday, cyber Monday and on and on.  The ads are slick and entertaining with music and encouragement to shop until you drop.  For some, the holidays is all about receiving gifts.  No shade…been there and done that!  Wish lists are made of all the things one would love to have.

John 8:32 says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  I smile every time I hear that scripture because my brother always says, “Yeah…the truth shall make you free, but it’s probably going to make you mad first!”
