It Never Gets Old

I consider myself to be a student of the word…the Bible.  I have always loved the word of God and certain passages are imprinted in my heart and mind.  When I was young, we used to have scripture memorization activities.  My grandmother’s sister would quiz my brothers and I on certain verses and winning meant that Aunt Bonnie would give us a monetary gift.  I was always eager to participate.  My brothers really didn’t stand a chance, and I won most of the time, but the real prize wasn’t the Kennedy half dollar coin.  I don’t think I knew at that time how vitally important it was to actually remember what the word says even after you close the book.
