With every season come certain trends; things that we get accustomed to happening. As the holidays came to a close, we started seeing all of the fitness related ads. Avertisements for gym memberships, weight loss enhancement “stuff”, home work-out equipment and everything that is purported to magically counteract all of the damage of our undisciplined merry-making from Thanksgiving through Christmas. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with encouragement to do better. But it is a known fact that New Year resolutions rarely work. By now, the second month in, our zeal may be somewhat diminished. Let’s tweak our goals and make them about more than just the physical presentation.
