When Christmas draws near, people start thinking about giving and receiving gifts.  When I was a newlywed, we didn’t have much money, and we had a conversation and mutually agreed that we wouldn’t exchange gifts.  We’d just enjoy being together and being in love and not worry about the commercial trappings that go with the occasion.
